I mean for this price its amazing what you get. The entrance to the ruins, the cenote, the transport and the lunch. You can´t get these things cheaper that that.

  2. Kendra Jones

Affordable price and very convenient. Me and my family finally could go to one of the 7 wonders of the world. Now we can take that one off the bucket list.

  3. Randy

I have never seen anything like this in my life! First time to Mexico, and this was the highlight of the trip.

  4. Jessica

Long trip but well worth it.

  5. Mark & Kristy

Hands down the best option for the price. We got exactly what was expected and couldn’t find a cheaper option anywhere. Thank you! The ruins were amazing!

  6. Stephanie

Chichen Itza was an amazing experience! Our guide was very nice, and the ruins were just breathtaking. I could see myself doing this trip again.

  7. Vadim Belov

    Very good value for money!

    Pickup: on time.
Driver: very safe, even made it not to run over a running racoon or whatever it was on a highway.
General Guide: Spanish and English well explained.
Chichen Itza guide: good English, well explained, happily answered all questions.
Free time was 50min in Chichen Itza and 35 in Valladolid.
Food: lunch was very rich buffet and very tasty! Also all covid measures are strict there. I recommend getting some food on the first stop in Valladolid or bring your own because the lunch was around 3pm. Any drink you are offered at lunch is for additional fee.
Cenote: I brought snorkeling stuff, but didn’t use it, there are not too many fish, but the experience of swimming there is cool. Also the water!
Covid stuff: I felt safe all the time, all people were wearing Masks inside the van, before entering all hands were sanitized.

    Bottom line: very recommended!

    All’s good! Value for money

  9. Rudy

Very good trip for the money. Strongly recommend if traveling alone, there were lots of nice people in my group. Chichen Itza was more amazing than I ever expected!

  10. Nick

I really enjoyed the tour. The group I was with was a lot of fun. Great option if traveling alone to Chichen Itza.

  11. Roger Westwood

Great tour, especially for the price. A packed day with lots to see and do. Swimming in the Cenote was a great experience and we could have stayed there longer! Unfortunately there’s only so many hours in the day. We’re now looking at other Cenotes to visit nearby! Chichen Itza of course is a must see, and Valladolid provided a nice stop-off on the way back.

Our guide for the day, Pastor, was informative and funny with a great command of the English language. Everything was explained thoroughly both in Spanish and English for the multi-national group of passengers. There’s also ample food provided both in the morning and afternoon.

All in all a fantastic day out 🙂

We booked two tours, the Chichen Itza tour and Isla Mujeres tour. Was very satified with these tours as both were good tours, for a good price. Would recommend.

  14. Pat

    Good trip, no issues.

  15. Kerry

Was cool seeing Chichen Itza finally! Been wanting to see it for quite a while now. This tour was decent for the money but it is a long day sitting in the bus getting to and from Chichen Itza. If your not willing to commit a full day do a different tour with less stops. The cenote they bring you to is pretty awesome and of coarse Chichen Itza was amazing! The guide was pretty good but was pitching for tips a little too hard I think. The stop in Valladolid was a quick 20 minute stop to stretch your legs and get a snack if you want. Not too much to see there but an old cathedral, at least where we stopped. We chose to find some “elote” that I fell in love with down here. Oh last thought, do bring sunblock or a hat. There isnt much shade at the ruins so it gets pretty toasty. I ended up having to buy an overpriced hat!

  16. Tim McIntyre

Picked up from Barcelo in full size charter bus and did not have to transfer after pick up. We were given the exact tour as described to us.
Tour guide was good and gave us history during. Would recomend using this tour and it does not cost what they sell in the resorts.

  17. Fernando Chavez

This tour was enjoyible and the duration was appropriate. They were late picking us up though. The van was air-conditioned, fortunitely, and the roads are good. Food was worth it, although beverages were no included, and I was told that there was a 10% discount on beverages that I was later told was not the case. Oscar our guide was excellent. I would recommend this chichen itza tour overall.

  18. Martin and Gabriela

Very nice trip, a lot of services for reasonable price, highly recommended

  19. Jimmy

Great tour for the money. Chichen Itza was amazing but it gets crazy hot throughout the day. Word of advice bring water with you, I paid $5 for one bottle at the ruins…

  20. Micheal

One thing off the bucket list! This is truly an amazing place and the history is fascinating. If your not into architecture or history then probably not the place for you! Really enjoyed it

  21. Elizabeth Rodriguez

My family of 6 stayed with Wondrous World and everyone was super nice and the breakfasts were SO good. We took the Chichen Itza tour and it was amazing. Well worth the money. We stopped at Ik Kil Cenote, then stopped to eat at a buffet and then to the ruins and then stopped at this colonial town that was super cute. Kids had a blast. Food was good and fulfilling for 4 teens. I would highly recommend this tour to all.

  22. Chloe

Super cool experience of a lifetime!

I wanted to be at one of the seven wonders of the world on my birthday this Feb and all the tours that i looked for were either very expensive or never had a pick up from my hotel (even though it was on the main area) or did not have it on the day i wanted. I was so glad to find the wonderous world tour and they met all my needs. They were wonderful. On time for pick up. assisted all the way through. The tour guide on the bus and on the Chichen Itza were funny and very informative. They kept us entertained all through the trip. The timing we had on each of the spots were right and not too much or too less. That helped in getting through the schedule very well. It was time and money well spent. I am sure to take another trip with WonderousWorld.com if i come back to Mexico. Thanks People for making my birthday special.

This was one of our main reason for visiting the Riviera Maya, and it didn´t disappoint. Very similar to visiting the Eifel Tower when in Paris, so a must do if your in the area. It gets pretty hot during the afternoon and water is expensive inside so be sure to bring your own water. We left our hotel at 7:30am in Playa and got back around the same time in the evening, so yes a long day but well worth it. I highly recommend staying with the guided tour when there since there is such a massive history to this Myan Ruin and really interesting hearing. What I didn’t like was the extra charge to use my GoPro here but not too big of a deal for me. Vendors of souvenirs along the paths are very persistent to get your business and are prone to haggling so don´t ever pay full price! 🙂 Remember to bring extra water and expect to be walking a mile to a mile and a half to see everything.

  25. Brian Dickson

Good value for the money. I did this trip with a group of friends because we were traveling on a budget and we had an awesome time at Chichen Itza, and the cenote was amazing! I wanted to leave a comment because there weren’t many on the site and I would definitely do this tour again. It was on a bus so the process in the morning was a little slow, but the guides were very friendly and the price was right.

  26. Jigar & Shaily

This by far was cheapest what I found for Chichen Itza tour. It is worth. I wouldn’t want to spend 70$-75$ for this tour. Our tour was collaborated with Easy Tours. Easy Tours’ driver was late by 20 minutes and I was worried . So, I called these guys and their response was very quick and professional. He did everything he could, to reach driver/tour company asap. Although , it took 10 minutes, but i was impressed with their response. I read only 1 review before booking this trip, so I was bit concerned. But, I would ask to book tour from them only as less expensive and same itinerary as the other tours.

Tip :: If you don’t want to book tours beforehand, tours can be booked by roaming into downtown also. There are lots of different tour options, and they negotiate like anything.

      Thanks Jigar,

We appreciate the kind words. Yes, sometimes the shuttles arrive a little behind schedule because of delays picking up guests from other locations, etc. We are going to be giving our guests an approximate time window for pickup in the future instead of exact time to avoid any concerns. Thanks so much for the feedback, we look forward to talking again in the future!

This travel package, by far the cheapest we could find for Chichen Itza, offers safe passage through the thirteen layers of sky in ancient Quintana Roo. Our Mayan escort Raul, well versed in la gente Maya, brings extensive background in Mayan history, archaeology, and mythology. At Ik Kil, we watched as young people jumped into the tall dreamlike cenote where a pair of blue-crowned Motmots took refuge in the long jungle vines. Our tour then took us to one of the current Seven Wonders of the World, the El Castillo pyramid at Chichen Itza. Our guide for this and other sacred sites in this complex was fluent in English and German. There are many souvenir vendors but our only large expense ($22 USD) was a beautiful commemorative certificate of our wedding anniversary date hand-inscribed in Mayan hieroglyphics on Mayan paper, in order to help raise funds for early education in the Mayan language. Overall, the tour is a terrific little introduction to a little-known part of our human past. Now to rerent Mel Gibson´s ¨Apocalypto¨.
