Description
Fancy diving in the Riviera Maya’s unique cenotes? Or want to learn more about cenotes? If yes to either of these, this tour may be for you! Be part of the few certified divers that have been discovering this wonderous underwater natural world and explore this unique and exciting area for yourself.
Cenotes are flooded caverns or underground river systems formed by dissolution of rock where you find amazing stalactites, stalagmites, and marine fossils. Cenote water is often very clear, as the water comes from rain water filtered slowly through the ground and therefore contains very little suspended particle matter. Cenotes are unique to Cancun and the Riviera Maya as the area has over 3,000 of them! The Taj Mahal cave that we will be exploring is one of the most beautiful in the world. ‘It is rare when a cave — spectacular as it may be — is eclipsed in beauty by its cavern. Yet, that is what many divers feel is the case at Taj Mahal.’ – cavediving.com.
Cenotes around the world attract cave divers who have documented extensive flooded cave systems through them, some of which have been explored for lengths of 100 km (62 mi) or more. With a visibility of over 50 meters cenotes are a rare & unique attraction and a must-do for any diver. So let us take you out on our Cenote Diving Tour, you won´t be disappointed!
