Discovered in Puerto Vallarta 1541 this small fishing village grew from a trading and mining town to a spectacular Mexican travel destination since the 1930s. Made famous by the movie version of Tennessee Williams’ The Night of the Iguana in 1964, visitors flocked to this beach resort leading to its expansion.
